We have three house phones and when you picked one up it was just static. We called verizon fios and after playing push the button for about a half hour I finally set something up to get someone out here to fix it. The first day they came the man from verizon was very nice and explained everything to me.. Okay, so yesterday a second guy came out and he went and took a look and did whatever he did and he said there was one problematic line. It took forever to get my problem fixed, but it is fixed now.
If it fails to ring, plug in one of the other phones after completely unplugging the phone with no dial tone. Test the last plugged phone and see if it works. You can check your own phone line by testing the service in your test socket, which is located within your master telephone socket. Although the lines are grounded, don’t attempt to test the lines during a storm or if the surface you’re standing on is wet. Don’t attempt to open the section marked Telephone Company Access Only. Opening this section could disrupt the connection to the AT&T network and damage the equipment.
Verizon is not giving me a question form or an email address that i can use. I've messaged the @VerizonSupport Twitter, but I'm not holding my breath. Just as I was about to make a very important call, I realized that I have no dial-tone on my phone. I have two phones connected to this account and neither has a dial-tone. I troubleshooted the hardware, and I think the phones are fine.
Only one of my landline connected devices does not work
Don't hesitate to contact your telephone service provider for assistance if you still cannot get the phone to work. If you have no dial tone on your cordless phone, check the battery and charge it if it’s low. Make sure your cordless phone’s base unit is plugged into a working electrical outlet.
